Time Warner Complaint - Time Warner Cable HD cable
NEW YORK -- We have had Time Warner Cable for quite a bit of time with no complaints. About 5 months ago we switched to the HD cable box and have become extremely unhappy with it. The TV has gone out 3 times for a week in this time(so out of 5 months of service we have had 3 weeks of no TV while we waited for the help to arrive) and the "Start Over" service that is much hyped about does not work most of the time("Enhanced TV down" message appears 9 out of 10 times on it). The HD channels go black for about 5 seconds maybe 20 times a day which may not be a bother if you're just watching TV in the background but when you're watching a movie and you miss the 5 second climax, it can stink. This problem does not carry over to the normal channels(non-HD) so if you're planning on using the normal service I fully recommend Time Warner. Just avoid their HD service and if you have an issue expect to wait a week for repairs and call after every bill to remind them they owe you credit for the time out in service.
