BillMeLater Complaint - Personal Information Unsecured
OMAHA, NEBRASKA -- BillMeLater....starting with their customer service: the agents who answer the calls "hear" you but do not "listen" to you! I had difficulties making any kind of purchase on-line because the "birthdate" did not match their records. Every time I'd call and correct this only to go through it the next time I tried to make a purchase! The "script reading" agents cannot answer any question out of their guidelines and therefor cannot solve any problem. If you ask to speak to a supervisor they get very defensive and ask you for a number where you can be reached.....which after going through this process several times, no supervisor has ever called me back in any situation and I just have had to keep calling!
I, Me, MYSELF closed this account over a year ago and keep receiving correspondence from them, "updating" the terms on my account, or "denying ...." some purchase request???????? I call them again to remind them this account has been closed, to make sure it is no longer active. OK.
Months later I receive a letter stating that THEY are closing my account due to my credit report?????? I call them again...and it seems to be cleared up at that time,.. NOT!....because yesterday I receive a letter again referring to changes on my account blah, blah blah....Whose account? Now the're sending mail to my place of work... I call back and sure enough I get a robotically perfect agent who keeps asking me for my ss# and my date of birth while I don't even have an account with them! They keep your information active on file for anyone to access at any time! Of course she never transferred me to a supervisor, I didn't expect at this point anything more from her!
I don't owe them money. I haven't used them for any purchase for two years. I closed this account. BUT THEY WON'T LET IT GO, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I CALL THEY KEEP HARRASSING ME WITH THEIR LETTERS AND KEEPING MY SS# AND INFORMATION ACTIVE!
