Alltel Complaint - Altell is horrible - cell phone
First off..I havebeen a Alltel customer for over 10 years and no late payments.. I live in a very rural area where my cell phone never worked well. about a year ago the service became horendus. you couldn't ever get a call to connect to anyone. I finally convinced someone at Alltel to let me out of my contract.. I have 3 lines that I pay for...They immediately sent me out a box to send the 3 phones back..I sent them back, after that I received a bill for a lot more than I ever received before, so I called them.. they told me that they added a $200.00 cancellation charge, which they would remove, so I then paid the remaining balance in full, and they said it was taken care of.... so then the next month I get a bill for double that again. I told them I wasn't paying, then this real nice lady called and I told her the whole story, she told me that she would take care of it all and gave me her direct number which is 877-564-5530 x 7412. since then I have been sent to collection agency, which by the way I have called this lady back and she never answers or returns my messages. I have now been sent to a collection agency with a bill of 1200.00.i am so tired of trying to defend myself, I am a honest customer and I don't deserve to be treated like this. I will never pay this bill I don't owe. they told me they received the box back but they only received one phone back. what a bunch of lies... I am so frustrated that I could screammmm..
