Dish Network Complaint - Military Families Beware
We have had Dish Network for almost a year. We knew we would only be in this area for a short time so before signing up I asked about their military clause and how easy it would be to terminate under orders. I was assured that they are very proud to service military members and would make our transition easy. BS! Since we started with them we've had numerous billing issues, a box that just stopped working (which took 7 days to replace...I was charged for those days of service!) and now they refuse to disconnect my service because it's in my name and not my husbands who is the military member! Despite the fact that we are moving, with orders in hand, they want to charge us their outrageous disconnect/early termination fee because we could just put the account on hold or we could still have it if we choose....When I asked the "customer service agent" for a supervisor to help me she told me that they would say the same thing and there was no need to bother them! I got a lot of generic statements and no help. There was no attempt to make me happy or appease the situation. I am done with this company and I will make it my mission to let every military member I know to beware of this company. This is the last thing our servicemen need to worry about as they are deploying to defend our freedoms!
