Lumber Liguidators Complaint - Check Their Math
REAING, PENNSYLVANIA -- I have no complaints with the wood floor product and the installation. My new wood floor in the family room looks great. The sales people were very professional and the customer service was great.
My concern is with the estimates given first by the store personal and the install company that did the measuring. The store does not tell you that you have to purchase Staples and floor tar paper which adds to the costs.
The estimate for how much wood we needed was way over the ten percent waste. My husband luckily looked over the estimate in detail and was able to reduce the total cost by several hundred dollars. We still ended up with two almost full boxes of wood. My husband feels that if he had kept a closer eye on things that at least one box of wood did not need to be opened. Also on the quarter round....way more then we needed. The installers cut short pieces off of four pieces when they could have used pieces that had been already cut...so we can't return them.
We have had hard wood floors installed in three houses so we are somewhat schooled in the process. We should have realized that the installation costs are directly linked to how much product you use....and they make sure they use as much product as possible.
I still love my floors, the product and the salespeople at the Reading PA store so I will be a return customer.
