Dish Network Complaint - Receiver Only Works Well With Shopping Networks
We’ve been subscribers to DN for 12 years. This past year reception has been inadequate - error messages, black screen, etc. usually every 10-20 minutes. DN tells us it is "probably" because of our old receiver which is no good and we can ”upgrade” for $140.00 plus $95 installation fee. We cancelled our service. All subscription channels went off immediately, however, all the shopping channels and “preview” channels still work. We left the cooking channel on for TEN HOURS STRAIGHT and it stayed on 100% of the time!!!
If our current receiver is no good, why does it receive the advertising channels perfectly and fail to receive the channels we pay for? No one at DN can give us answer.
Anyone else have this experience?
