Serco Union, Inc Complaint - Prize winner SCAM

Review by dizzydancer on 2010-09-15
OTTAWA, CANADA -- I received a check and a letter in the mail stating that I've won $120,000 by using my ATM/Debit card at Home Depot, Sears, Wal-Mart, etc (even though I didn't enter a drawing!) but just by USING my debit card I won? Ok whatever, but then the check is for $4,000 and I'm supposed to deposit that in my bank then send them money to cover the government bond? NO! I would claim the money then pay taxes based on my income, not a bond payment to them to pay the government! THIS IS A SCAM!! DO NOT SEND ANYONE MONEY! Also, the representative answering the phone says, "hello this is Jeff" (or whoever) Not even, Thank you, you've reached Serco Union... It's some guy's house!
I'm writing Serco to let them know they are being used in a scam - accents sound Nigerian even though his name is American/Hispanic.

last week, I won 3 foreign lotteries, got a letter from the FBI about some unclaimed property and was offered the affections of a "hot" lonely woman.

If any of these offers was legit, I'd be the luckiest guy ever to inhabit the earth.

google 419eaters for some entertainment concerning these guys.

Tell "Jeff" in lieu of sending the "bond money" in to take 10% of your prize, pay the bond himself, keep the change, and wire the remainder to you Western Union.

I called Jeff and told him that I had called Serco to inform them of his scam which uses their name - Serco Union is so huge that need be they could squash him with a pinky and not blink and eye. Even if he is in Nigeria - they are international - Serco has it's hands in every aspect of the world. Bad idea to use an enormous company like that.
