J.C. Penney Company, Inc. Complaint - JC Penney wants mail-order customers to come into the store
My son needs a 38-inch inseam in jeans and likes Levi Silver Tabs. I just placed my very LAST order for them at JC Penney. Three years ago I ordered four pairs, size 36 X 38 - they sent two of that size and two incorrect ones. Two years ago I ordered again - same story, only the pair they got wrong went back TWICE for size correction. I ordered again this year, thinking they couldn't possibly mess this order up AGAIN, but they did. Of the four pair I ordered recently, one was the wrong size. In each case, I've taken the wrong jeans back to a JC Penney store and endured the "ho-hum" attitude of the catalog clerk. The order screw-up is obviously a routine way JC Penney does business. I think it's a way to get mail order customers into the store, and I think there's a corporate design behind it. Why else would they repeatedly send the wrong merchandise? Their ploy didn't work on me - I'll NEVER buy anything else at JC Penney.
