Key Bank USA Complaint - Terrible Banking Practices
CLEVELAND, OHIO -- Key Bank is the absolute WORST financial institution I have had the displeasure of being involved with. They have very strict parameters for new businesses, which is fine, but after you do over $500,000 in business with them you'd think that they would make good on helping a customer of length.
I was with them for 22 months and they never would offer my business a sweep account. I only bounced a few checks in that entire time, but then when I would wake up at 3am to check my account, they started withdrawing my checks and debits and THEN put in my deposits. This lead to daily overdraft fees for $5.80 cent transactions (shipping through USPS), where I'd have 20 shipments, of $39 per transaction. So by the time my money got deposited, I was $200 dollars in the hole. This continued for a month before I decided to go elsewhere.
Their idiot self aggrandizing CEO took the 2.5 BILLION dollars they got in bailout money and he stated AND I QUOTE "Midwest banks will consolidate more in the near future, Meyer believes, and Key is absolutely "a buyer." Additionally, they put tens of thousands of dollars into rennovating my ex-Solon branch.
SORRY MORON THAT MONEY IS SUPPOSED GO TO MAKE GOOD ON BAD LOANS AND BUSINESS PRACTICES....which, go figure, your bank is known for.
I would only warn ANYONE who has money with this institution to GET OUT NOW. It is a TERRIBLE bank and will, in all likely hood go under.
