Spirit Airlines Informative - It is what it is! - Flight
DACULA, GEORGIA -- Our flight from NY to Atlanta was booked by the cruise line. Having read so many negative review, we were quite worried. Yes, you pay for selecting seats, checked baggage (on line please if not it's $$$)or carry on. So might as well check baggage.
The cruise transferred us to the airport nearly 3 hours early. Watching the people in the Spirit lines was quite an experience, and YES they were very unhappy. There were 3 women ticket agents and 2 male agents on duty. The women agents were all PMS victims..The guys were much nicer. We had pre paid our baggage but had no boarding pass, so I chose to enter the line with a male agent. He was extremely polite and helpful, checked us in, telling us since we were so early he would move our seat up and suggested we not check our baggage until an hour before departure, so they would not get lost. When we came back to do this, he was busy and I caught the wrath of one of the "ladies". I was very nice to her and wished her a better day. We board to find our new seat assignment was 2 large seats in row 3! The flight attendants were the most professional that we have encountered in quite some time. (we have flown 3 major airlines in the last 4 months)Would we fly Spirit again? Possibly.
