bankone,chase Complaint - chase,bankone - credit card

Review by corsair on 2005-02-24
WHITTIER, CALIFORNIA -- I have had a bankone credit card for two years know with no issues. I just got a chase card for 0% interest for a year and 3.99 fixed after that. My B1 card was 0% for a year and 7.99% variable after that. It was at 9.24% in Dec. Jan.
'04-'05. I have a (depending on source) an approx. 700 FICO. I have a spottless payment record with all my credit accounts for over seven years. I just received my next statement. My rate is now 24.49%. I assume (of course) that this is a mistake, "no biggie". I call their
1-800-eat-s@#t number and talk to one of their (hopefully soon to be unemployed) phone humps
and they tell me that they looked at my (very good) credit score and said that THEY decided
that I'm a high risk and nearly tripled my interest rate. I'M PISSED BEYOND DESCRIPTION. From what I've been reading, I can only
assume that chase will BREACH their CONTRACT with me and do the same. I want to get with anybody going for class action. I will be looking into the legallity of their actions
and be paying-off and killing these accounts. They are with other companys also. Don't do
business with these scum bags!. There's no way they can stay in business with these practices. My default rate was only 20% or so, "maybe I
should start paying late to get a better rate"!!!.

My comments are with regard to Chase Manhatten Bank -specifically about a Breach of Contract which thay committed with regard to an auto pament contract I had signed with them. 2weeks after I signed the contract they mailed me a notice that my application was denyed and proposed a counter-offer. For more $$! Is there an attorney reading this who can answer/or help with this complaint?
