Ecco Compliment - Great Running (Walking) Shoes

Review by 130839 on 2010-09-21
I always enjoy passing on information about products I have found that last, and, in this case, are very comfortable too.

I have been buying Ecco running shoes, that I also hike and walk in, for about 3-4 years now. They have never let me down. I also find they last until you are ready to replace them. I use mine almost every day, so I have to replace them every 3-4 months. I've never had one instance of them coming apart before that time frame and I put a lot of miles on them.

These shoes are very well padded, made well, and fit like a glove. If I can't feel a running/walking shoe when I have it on my feet, then I know I've found something great! No pinching, rubbing, nothing at all. I have bought the Ecco Performance RXP 3080 and also the RXP 3070. Both have served me well. Mine run about $120. May sound expensive, but that runs about $1 a day. My feet are important to me! If you don't use them constantly, they would probably last longer than mine do.

Additionally, in the past year, I've noticed they are making other shoes (flats) that I have tried and liked, also very comfortable and stylish. They have lasted well too.

I usually order from Zappos.com. You can order 2 sizes (or more) and return them--for free. I don't like hunting store-to-store, so I can usually get what I want and not go out shopping. Besides, the stores are usually out of my size (!) and they don't necessarily have what I'm looking for anyway.

Excellent review! I have never considered buying that brand, or my shoes online, but now I'll definitely take a look. Thanks, Singsing!

What I wouldn't give for comfortable shoes. Not only do I need a wide width but my feet are two different sizes (long story). I usually wear flip flops until it snows! I even wear them with socks.

This brand sounds great for you, sing. And I've heard so many good things about Zappos. So, thanks for the two recommendations.

Venice, Zappos should have everything you need! Check it out. They have good bargains sometimes too.

I have checked out Zappos a couple of times but found myself venturing into other areas of the site and losing complete sight of my mission to find shoes. I know they have brands with wide widths and the return policy is great for me because it's so hard to find two shoes in the same pair that are wearable. I did manage to find a pair of boots in Kohl's last winter, so at least I have those for when it gets cold.

My feet tend to be a bit wide so a comfortable shoe recommendation is indeed welcome. Thank you Singsing, I'll keep these shoes in mind!

My husband has wide feet and bought a pair of Ecco golf shoes earlier this year and loves them! He's cheap so I figure they must be great shoes if he didn't have second thoughts about price and return them!
