ST PETERSBURG, FLORIDA -- After purchasing a UBid.com Philips Home Theater system the unit stopped working after 14 months. I had purchased a 2 year warranty. I called uBid on 9-22-10 to have the unit replaced and they stated under the exclusions the unit was not covered. I received a number of different reasons why none of which were listed in my paperwork. UBID and the the warrant seller, BANKERS Warranty group of Florida, have refused to honor the warranty or to provide a refund for the defective unit. Beware of doing business with either of these firms.

With all respect, this is where I wouldn't consider an extended as the whole process of UBid is inexpensive merchandise without service. An extended warranty, at that, just doesn't seem appropriate.

Ubid will never honor their warranty since they make money out of buyers and sellers and they'll do spare no effort to cheat both buyers and sellers, Don't you wonder why they've never became succesfull like Amazon and Ebay.!!..It it their bad practices and "profteering" scams.
Stay away and pay more on other sites and you'll be a head
