Charter Communications Complaint - Will Not Send Me My Money!!
SIMPSONVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA -- I moved in March 2010. I was not notified by any means that my account number would be changed, so I continued to pay my bills every month with charter. In June 2010 I received a call from charter collections that my account was past due, which was untrue because I had paid it in full, I even had proof from the bank! They said they could not forward the payment to my new account number and would send out a refund check to me on July 10th. On July 22nd I found out they sent the check to my old address and was returned back to charter! they are a bunch of idiots, if they just looked at my account they would have realized I have been living at a new address since March. So after many phone calls with their bad customer service representatives, and even supervisors, I was told they had sent out the check on Sept 9th and it would take 5-7 business days to receive. It's September 22nd and still have not received it so called back and was told they can't give me a time estimate when I will receive it, nor can they tell me if it's even been sent out!! what a joke!!!
I'm filing a complaint with the better business bureau. It's funny how they want their money right away but when they owe you it takes forever, if ever!
