Ge is horrible. Not like it used to be. After one defective unit ( spilling ice all over the floor ) they, GE, brought me a brand new one with the same problem. All the technicians say they know the problem but cannot do anything about it. The door alarms don't work and GEs response was just to make sure the doors are closed properly. I went to my states division of consumer affairs and even they could not get GE to do anything. I hired a local lawyer and it cost me $250 to write 2 good letters to GE and they finally gave in and are giving me a full refund and picking up the POS they sold me. Unless you threaten them with a small claims lawsuit they just blow you off. I got as high as Mary Beth Culver in GE and she wouldn't budge but she is the one who gave the OK to give my refund after my lawyer got them. Screw the public and the weak that don't know how to defend themselves. Shame on you GE . What was a good American company has now FORCED me to buy a Samsung foreign made product, very sad.
