GE Capital Cons Cardco Complaint - Late fee
Complaint
Review by butchbert@hotmail.com on 2001-10-11
GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN -- I made a purchase of $129.69 at the Best Buy store in Green Bay WI. 8/05/2001
It was promoted as a same as cash Promotiional purchase.
The due date to avoid finance charges was listed on my statement as 11/24/2001
I intended to pay this in full on my october billing.
My original credit company with best buy was Capital one The account was transfered to you GE Capital Con.
I didn't make a September payment because the promotion as I understand it is same as cash.
You charged me a Late Fee of $25 on my account.
I see this as a deceptive way to get a fee on this acount.
I have sent a payment of $154.69 to pay this account off, but I am disputing the $25. late fee.
I called your customer service department with no results.
I feel that this $25. late fee is a deceptive way for you to get money.
The old card company did not handle my accounts in this manner
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
Please refund the $25. late fee and close out my account with your company or I will make my purchases at other competitors of Best Buy in the future.
And:
I will send complaint letters to the Wisconsin Consumer protection as well as to the Federal Reserve regarding your untruthful lending promotions
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
