Comed Complaint - Estimate then POW for your POWER - Comed Bill
Comed Bill - Complaint
CAROL STREAM, ILLINOIS -- I have had an estimated bill since May, this is now September, or billing for August. I have paid approximately $300 per month, which in comparision to my neighbors is in line. I received a bill today for $1,639.71! When I called Comed, the customer service representative stated that the bill is correct. I explained to her that it cannot be correct, because if I was paying $300 per month, the total bill per month of actual bills would have been over $600 per month. I do not run my air conditioner very often and am very energy efficient. I waited for a supervisor for 67 minutes and then received a message that they are now gone for the evening and to call back tomorrow. I am ready to scream. I will update the site with what the determination is.

Please do. I'm surprised you're still breathing after getting a bill like that. Wow. Just wow. The only possibility is that maybe someone is stealing electricity off of your meter. If no one has checked the meter since April, it could happen.

Geez and I thought my 170$ electric bill was outrageous ouch. Hope u get it resolved op those electric companies are screwing people over I tell ya what.

I AM SURE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU A SMALL FEE BUT I WOULD NOT TRUST THE INSPECTION THE ELECTRIC COMPANY WILL DO. I HAVE SEEN A MAJOR INCREASE IN ELECTRIC PRICES IF SOMEONES HOT WATER HEATER IS ELECTRIC AND THEY HAVE A FAUCET DRIPPING. SOMETHING THAT MINOR ADDED ALMOST $250 DOLLARS TO THIER BILL. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR SEARCH FOR THE TRUTH...

Funny Family! I love to write in all caps when filling out paperwork and such. It too is easier for me to read. When I very first posted on this site, under my old (deleted) account, my first post was typed in all caps. I was new to the world of computer talk and such, and was completely ignorant to the fact that it was considered rude or "yelling". In fact, another member commented for me to "STOP YELLING". It took me a while to realize what they meant. I felt like an idiot! LMAO!!!

FF123, if you hit the control key on your computer and roll the knob on top of your mouse, the material on the screen will get larger or smaller, depending upon which way you roll it. I've had several people ask " is the writing on your screen large enough?"..

Family, try pressing control and the plus sign at the top of the keyboard. The print should get larger. If you want it smaller, press control and the minus sign.

Haha.. I found that out by accident. I hit some keys and the print suddenly got larger. It took me a while to figure it out. But it didn't take long to realize that the minus key made the print smaller. It works every time!
