Ray Motor Company (Hillsborough NC Ford) Complaint - Shameful behavior and Customer Service exhibited by dealer and manufacturer
NORTH CAROLINA -- I bought a new left over 2004 XLT F150 4X4 on 2/18/2005. By 2/24, I was experiencing CHATTER, SHUDDER, BINDING SENSATION, OR VIBRATION FROM REAR AXLE DURING LOW SPEED TURNS, CLUNKING/GRUNTING NOISE OR SHUDDER SENSATION DURING LIGHT TO MODERATE ACCELERATION AND/OR BRAKING. In addition the tilt steering wheel level fell off.
I asked that the salesman to take this truck back and that we work out a deal on something else. No go. I asked that the reversed the deal. No go. I told them that I would need to explicitly document everything as I would need to begin to setup a NC lemon law case and got harrassing comments from the salesman - lemon law doesnt even apply, I thing was his comment. www.nclemonlaw.com
I contacted the manufacturer who was also unhelpful. Very nice people both at the dealer and the 1-800 number but that doesnt cut it.
True that they are within the law, but both the dealer and Ford should show more concern for the customer who spends 38k on a vehicle. The should use professional, responsible business policies. The service manager is no better. Ofcourse sales is done, they say to contact service. Service added fluid and told me to drive it for a few days. Mainly because thats the documented approach. What ever happened to common sense ? The manufacture is standing by the dealer. Total 3 way screw around. I also asked my attorney to do a little research and he found that this Dealer is notorious for this type of behavior and a law suit is currently pending regarding a different case. This is hearsay though, as I have not seen any documention stating this fact.
Stay away from Ford they are a piece of junk and Specifically:
Ray Motor Company Inc.
350 S Churton St
Hillsborough, NC 27278-2509
I really dont need the dealer to respond specifically to me. I intend to do what I have to do. If the problem is not resolved, if necessary, I will go out and purchase another vehicle, then contact the manufacturer and Ford finance and tell them to come and pick up the truck. Voluntary repo I believe they call it.
What a nightmare !!!!
I intend to post these comments everywhere I can to help steer consumers clear; of at least, this dealership; at most Ford Motor Company.
