Review by Bama0002 on 2010-09-24
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- The town I live in can't find a place to get my eyes check no eye doctor will take the card. I have an electric wheelchair an the batteries are bad. Call insurance company an was told they won't help cover the batteries but Medicare would. Medicare paid for my chair..I get charge $40.00 co-pay when I go to my heart doctor. Medicare it would only Charge $20.00.. When I join this insurance company I was told it would cover me like Medicare Did..They lie about that..It doesn't..Going to cancel an go back to Medicare..

I am going thru the same thing. And am considering re-joining original medicare. Now the batteries,I have a mobility scooter that takes 2 U1's too.You might check the nursing homes, hospitals, etc,as they can ONLY use the batteries for 6 months, then have to buy new ones reguardless if used any or not.Ebay has the 2 for $125.00/free ship.Interstate Battery has them for $85.00 each. And I got 4 (hosp) batteries from a guy on ebay for $25.00 each, and $25.00 shipping each.So,$200 for 4 U1 6 months old. They work great. So,if medicare won't buy them, they should,These are affordable options.Good luck.
