TurboCooker Compliment - Turbo Cooker is a winner

Review by Celticford on 2010-09-26
I have been using this cooker almost daily...seeing it cook with speed and easy got my husband to share cooking. Great product for people that are on the go. Food tastes great...my daughter has been convinced. Her little girl, my granddaughter, complains that Mommy's cooking doesn't taste as good as Pop Pop's does. I am in the process of purchasing one for my daughter. In the past, besides buying mine, I had purchased one for a friend...not a complaint. I do admit, I had to play around and experiment but not for long. I would encourage buying and using this product.

Interesting, but needs a bit more information. Is this the thing I've seen on TV ads? Is it a pressure cooker, steamer, infared device or what?

It is the same one in the informercial on TV. It is not a pressure cooker, as steam is kept inside but moves around, so I guess it's more like a steam cooker. It is not SEALED with a gasket. The domed lid sits high and keeps the moisture in. The only other pot I preciously used that acted similarly is my dutch oven, when making stew etc. Keeping the lid on helps to keep moisture inside the pan and helps it to cook faster. I seldom use other pans for dinners, except for the kids' mac & cheese or peas etc. I love this pan...I'm trying to get one for my daughter for her cooking needs; the problem is cost...I'm looking for a good slightly used one.
