RBC Bank Complaint - Does not care about customers

COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA -- This bank has horrible customer service. They gave me bad information that cost me $550. When I told them about it, they blamed me and said I should just know how their bank works. I asked them to provide a service that other banks can do in 3 hours. It took them more than 4 weeks! When I call to get them to do basic stuff, they get extremely angry. When I told them I was going to complain to the BBB, FDIC, and the Consumer Protection Agency, they replied "Do what you have to do, I don't care." Here is their official response to the BBB: "We are unable to respond to the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter." This is a terrible organization. Avoid it at all cost.

It would have been helpful to include details of the "communication" that cost so much money. Not doing so makes one think the poster has something to hide.

This type of threat never works. They probably just laugh at you as the BBB has no power over them.

Not only is the BBB basically useless, no bank could or would discuss anything with them because it would violate federal privacy guidelines. They could not even confirm that an individual has an account there, much less discuss the account.
