Silverpoint Car Care Center Complaint - Car Wash - Broke Car - Backed Out When Time to Pay for Damages

Review by MeganMH on 2010-09-27
COLLEGE POINT, NEW YORK -- Do not let ABEL and the other people at SILVERPOINT Car Care Center (130-11 20th Ave, College Point, NY 11356 718-661-2535) touch your car you will regret it! We brought our car in for a simple car wash. They broke the wipers and windshield. They immediately took responsibility (it could not have more clearly been their fault) and gave us a signed, written statement saying they would pay for all the damages. But the damages were more than they expected (we have a range rover with a heated windshield with a rain sensor). They immediately began tring to back out of their written promise/statement of responsibility. ABEL and Silverpoint came up with a Whopper of a lie, saying the damage was out fault because the rain senor was on. The rain sensor was not on. Furthermore, they never told us to turn it off or posted anywhere that it had to be turned off. Now we are on the hook for a $500 deductible for our insurance company and we even had to pay for the car wash! ABEL and the other people at SILVERPOINT are incompetant. They lie and cheat. While we were there we saw them break another car and they said "see we break cars all the time don't worry." Whatever you do DO NOT TRUST ABLE AND THE OTHER PEOPLE AT SILVERPOINT THEY WILL BREAK YOUR CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have a copy of the signed statement saying they will take care of all the damages, that would stand up in small claims court pretty good. I think it would be worth your time. Good luck.
