Waikiki Shuttle Complaint - Stay away from Waikiki Shuttle

HONOLULU, HAWAII -- This company should be out of business.
Fact: I called for shuttle pick-up 2 days in advance.
Fact: During call I informed person take info that I needed to be at airport by 11:00am
Fact: The shuttle showed up late about 15min late.
Fact: I informed the driver that my flight was at 12:15
Fact: Driver waited for 15mins for more passagers.
Fact: Driver did not seem to care about my flight time.
Fact: I got to the Honolulu airport at 12:00 noon.

Driver was rude, lazy, unfriendly, and unhelpful.
The is the worst shuttle you will get. Stay away from them

It really doesn't sound like they allowed enough time for you to catch your flight. Even 45 minutes wouldn't be enough time at most airports that aren't busy. This shuttle service sounds like bad news. Did you miss your flight?

When I'm traveling, if I call for a shuttle and they are late (which may cost me money if I miss my flight), I call a taxi.

Steve, it may have taken the driver another 30 minutes from the time he picked up the passengers he was waiting for.

momsey, he told the shuttle service he needed to be at the airport at 11 am which would have been ample time for him to catch his flight at 12:15 pm. Honolulu International requires a 2 hour arrival for International flights, but only 1 1/2 hours for domestic. I'm guessing he was flying domestic. 1 hour, 15 minutes would have been ample time at that airport to catch a flight.

It would have been nice if they had informed you that in order to ensure you arrived at the airport at 11, you should schedule for an earlier pick-up time.

The timeline is confusing. If the shuttle was only 15 minutes late and waited another 15 minutes for other passenger, that's only 30 minutes, and they should have arrived at 11:30. I still think they didn't leave themselves enough time. Maybe I'm overcautious, but I don't ever cut it that close, whether I'm driving myself to the airport or someone else is driving me.

There is something that seems to be missing. What time was this person told that they would be picked up? Often times, shuttles can't do things exactly to your schedule as they are picking up multiple people. You either have to take an earlier shuttle, or a later shuttle than the exact time you want to leave. Maybe the 11 AM time is when the pickup was scheduled for, not arrival time of the shuttle to the airport?

you would think theyd be ontime the way they zoom around the airport and cut people off in traffic. yes they are rude and basically drive in one big circle all day. they get crazy when you confront them,,in your case the driver knew your situation and made himself feel better by taking advantage of it :( thats not right!!

I'd have to agree that Waikiki Shuttle shouldn't be in business. My experience with them was that I paid for roundtrip service in advance and they never came to pick me up at the hotel. Even though I reconfirmed my pick up time the day before, they still didn't come. I call them several times the day of, but no answer so I had no choice but to take a taxi. This company still owes me money. Any company that steals money from customers won't be around for long.
