Travelocity Complaint - Booking made with Travelocity not sent through to Hotel
In August we made a a hotel booking through Travelocity at a top end resort at Ayers Rock, Central Australia. Despite this booking being confirmed by Travelocity & charged to my credit card a month before the trip, on arrival the hotel had no record at all of our booking. In addition they were completely booked out and we had to be placed in alternative accommodation for the first night which was of a significantly lower standard than that we had booked and paid for, and did not have the services or tours which we had fully pre-paid for. This caused a great deal of stress on the first day of our trip, and meant we did not receive the accommodation or services which we had fully paid for. We had to spend our first 24hrs of only a 3 day trip scrambling for alternative accommodation & essentially waiting around for the resolution of the booking fault, which turned out to be Travelocity at fault. The hotel was able to confirm with Travelocity that our booking had never been sent through to them by Travelocity. We are extremely disappointed in Travelocity in that we missed out on a third of our trip experience which we had paid for - we will never use them again.
