GEMoney Complaint - Horrible Customer Service
I took out a loan offered through a flooring company with GEMoney.
It was no interest if paied off in 6 months.
I went online 6 weeks before the promotional period was over to pay off the loan completely.
There were two different balances on the statement.
1. Was the full statement balance
2. Balance as of XX/XX/XXXX
I tried to pay the Full statement balance which was more than the balance as of ....
The web form would not take the payment and it said that I could not make a payment that exceeded the balance as of ...
So I paid as much as it would take.
Then I get a bill for $2 and change...
So I call to find out what this is for and why my last payment wasn't the payment in full.
I was obviously talking to some A-hole in India. He called himself 'Joe'. Such crap.
He didn't offer an explanation of the $2 but said I didn't in fact make the maximum payment and that I =could= have paied any amount and the web site would have taken it.
He was extremely rude and argumentative. Worst customer service ever. There's no way to call and complain about the customer service. No web communication. Only the ONE phone number.
I closed the account and will not be using GE Money again.
