National Auto Finance Complaint - Use of Telephone to Terrorize, Harass or Annoy
We have been receiving telephone calls daily, sometimes as many as three times a day, and the caller ID identifies the caller As National Auto. When we pick up the phone, no one is there, and after a few minutes, the line drops to a busy signal. The number shown getsw a message that that is not a valid phone number. I went on Google and looked up National Auto, and got two listings, National Auto Parts, and National Auto Finance. They do have an 800 number listed, and whn I called, they asked for my 12-digit ID number or my SSN.. Finally, someone came on thne line and asked for my account numbe. I informed him I have no business relationship with his company, and politely asked them to remove my number from their auto dialer. The next three days yielded three more calls. I called the company again, and advised them I intended to file suit in our local Small Claims court for $1500, $500 for each offending call. He said he had to speak with his supervisor. The supervisor advised him to tell me to call my phone provider and have the number blocked. I bet DB can tell me some way to deal with these yo-yos.
