Bank of America Complaint - Insurance Fraud
DEXTER HOGAN BRANCH, WASHINGTON -- In 2009 I received an overdraft notice on a bank account in Washington state. I only used that account when I vacation in Washinton. The overdraft notice said Customer Care. I called the bank and found that the insuranve I never ordered was being charged to my account. I live in Nevada and received numerous calls about an insurance policy and refused each time. The bank people said there was no phone number and trasferred me to the claims where an operator said:This call can not be processed at this time. This went on 24/7. Finally after calling the third time, the person gave me the 800 number and stayed on the line until I was transferred to the claims. The insurance I would have to sign an affidavit before I could listen to the sales call. They mailed me an affidavit but when I called back they said would cancel all charges if I did not listen to the call!!!! It took about 15 calls to the bank and insurance company to straighten it out.
