Sanford Brown Iselin Complaint - Sanford Brown Is Nothing But A Sales Company...

Review by Sanford Brown is a scam on 2010-09-30
ISELIN, NEW JERSEY -- I made the mistake of attending Sanford Brown. I hold my degree in clinical nutrition and was NEVER asked about my degree. The "senior admissions officer" never asked me and IGNORED me when I told her TWICE that I have my BS. I asked why they needed my HS transcipts when I had my college transcripts. Now I know it was because they wanted to WASTE $15K of my money on a waste of a program to become an MA...for $13 an hour. I wanted to do the Sonography program and was put off. The "senior addmissions officer" told me that I was clearly wrong even though others in my class were told the same thing. We were told there would be tuition reimbursement, one woman was told that the externship would be paid, etc. Lies to get you to pay. Unreal. DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!! When I met with her, another addmissions officer and the president, the "senior addmissions officer" talked to me like I was an idiot, spoke down to me with a very insulting tone. The president refunded my money, which I appreciated a great deal.

When I called to inquire about going into the Sonography program, the "senior addmissions officer" told me that I "should just wait to hear back from UMDNJ" and hung up. Wow. If that is how they want to run their business, that's fine. But I will tell anyone who will listen about that school.

As you now know, many of the for profit schools have 'Masters' programs that are not recognized by employers or other schools. That's because their 'Diplomas' are not worth the paper they are written on. Fortunately, you got your money back.

I do some hiring for technical jobs, and I can assure you that we don't even consider these 'degrees' from places like this or University of Phoenix and the like. Your money would be far better spent on a real school, even if it is only a community college.
