Moving Connections Complaint - Worst Company I have ever dealt with

Review by Kenny2010 on 2010-09-30
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- When they moved, food was missing out of my fridge. They did not complete the move, and overcharged me for hours. They invited women into the apartment that were not supposed to be there, and took numerous smoke breaks and billed me for them. When they were closing in on my budget limit, I told them I would tip them 50 dollars if they could complete the move within 10 hours. They told me that they had called their boss and cleared it with him. They marked on the paperwork 9.5 hours and I gave them the tip. I did not know any of the above things when I tipped them unil I went back to my apartment. My neighbor came up to me and told me about all that had happened while I was gone. When I called to complain, they said they were looking into it. The manager came out and even admitted that there was something definitely wrong with what I was charged. Today, I asked what they were planning on doing about it. They told me they hadn't decided yet and said that I was a liar and so were my witnesses. I was then accused of extortion because I asked for a refund, and the manager told me that he was calling the police on me for extortion. He also told me that he was reporting me for fraud because I had offered them a tip to come in under a certain number of hours. He told me that his employees had actually lied about the hours and had cheated the company and he wanted to go after me for that.
