Priceline.com Complaint - Wrong Star Rating! Never Use again
I am, always have been, and always will be a loyal customer to a company that treats its customers fairly. I feel as though Priceline.com falls extremely short in that regard this time!
I have used pricelines "Name your own price" option multiple times and always received a great product, but I never had to deal with their customer service and fraudelant efforts to take money from me like I did this time.
Date of Transaction: 09-30-2010
Transaction Title: Hotel in Miami Beach November 11th - 14th.
Star rating chosen: 3 stars
Price of booking: $72 plus hotel tax and fees.
Waiting on a price...
What do you know!
I was booked the Carlton Hotel, Miami Beach, FL for $254.85!
Whats wrong with this picture....it was a 2.5 star hotel
So I called Pricelines AMAZING customer service department only to be told that due to it being "my mistake", that I would be responsible for a cancellation fee in the amount of one nights stay (84.95). I told him that, after his rude attitude and robotic tone, that I don't agree with this, and that I'm a loyal customer, and that there must have been a mistake on his side, he stated that it was my fault, that I was the one who pressed 2.5 star. I know for a fact I didn't. In fact, they didn't accept my first offer of $70 a night, so they bring you to a screen to change your offer, and all I did was change my price from $70 - $72 a night!
How is it that my star rating went down.
I talked to not only the robotic customer relations department but also a supervisor and wasn't given any help other than "if there is anything else I can do for you, otherwise, I will let you go"
So before even getting myself a hotel, I am already in the hole for $84.95....So stupid.
I am appalled and will never do business with them again!
