Fromyouflowers.com Complaint - I Got Ripped Off!! - Flowers

Flowers - Complaint
Review by pkay on 2010-10-01
OLD SAYBROOK, CONNECTICUT -- I ordered from flowersforyou.com for the first time on 9-30-10 for a friend's funeral. I ordered what I thought was a nice arrangement in a vase and I upgraded to the deluxe to make sure I got a better than average arrangement. I spent around 60.00. I was so embarrassed when I got to the funeral home for the visiting that evening and there sat my flowers in a "vase" that was the size of a soda can; it was pitiful.

It looked like something I would pay 19.99 (maybe) for in the grocery store. I will never use this company again.

Where do you find websites with names like that?
Posted by mrvw on 2010-10-01:
were there pictures on the website? I know generally website pictures aren't 100% accurate, but at least that could have given you some kind of idea.
Have you tried contacting the company?

Why didn't the OP go to a local floral shop and personally view and request what they wanted?

I just went to the webside, and they have a beautiful selection of sympathy flower arrangements.

OP, just as mr.vw mentions, have you contacted them? You should be satisfied with what you ordered and since you are not, let them know about it.

My condolences on the loss of your friend.

This is a great reason to just go to your local florist!

I agree momsey, but sometimes maybe the OP's local florist is not in the same area as the deceased. When I need to send flowers out of town, I usually google local florists in the area to use, to send my arrangements. None of this third party stuff, which gives everyone a headache. Also, many times the funeral homes, have on their websites, local florists shops they recommend to use, during times like this.

Nice that the op warned others, during such a stressful time in their life.

Skye, it doesn't matter if your local florist is in the same area as where you want to send the flowers. A good florist will be in a network. You can tell them what you want and they'll go into their network and have another good florist send the flowers.

But yes, I agree, there's never a reason to use these random websites.
