Denny's Restaurant Compliment - From Bad To Good - Biscuits And Gravy
Biscuits And Gravy - Compliment
What started off with the potential of being a complaint, our waitress and the kitchen staff produced the stuff of a compliment.
As today is Crystal's birthday, we chose to eat at the Denny's in Centralia, WA. I ordered my usual, two orders of biscuits and gravy off the $2, $4, $6 and $8 menu, one with egg and one with hashbrowns. It did not look right when it arrived, the gravy was very thin and as Crystal pointed out, it looked like it had curdled. It tasted like it had been thinned with vinegar. I mentioned it to the waitress, and she whisked it back to the kitchen.
A short while later, she brought a fresh plate, and the gravy was the way sausage gravy should be. Not only that, but they had given me fresh egg and hashbrowns, as the previous gravy had contaminated the other. It was all piping hot and delicious. Kudos to the waitress and the day shift kitchen crew.

Nice compliment for Denny's. I always liked the restaurant chain. We don't have one anymore in this area. It had to do with a lease renewal on the building and Denny's just decided to close shop rather than agree to the massive increase in rent. It was unbelievable. Some property owners might want to think twice before they decide to stick it to a very popular business. The building is still vacant.

Nice review Starlord. Now if only more people would say something to their waitress if there is a problem, everyone would be happier, instead of suffering in silence.

Crystal says thank you all, and wants me to tell you she is not going to have any more. I told her, do what I do. I still celebrate, I just don't count them anymore. ROFL She says she is going to give her birthdays to our dogs. hehehehe
