Atlantic Sportswear Complaint - Charged my account - didn't deliver

During last holiday season I ordered sportswear for gifts. I received purchase confirmation which did not specify when delivery would occur. Several weeks went by and I called to inquire. I was told some of the items were backordered and there was no information about a delivery date. I decided to wait. After about a week, I gave up and emailed to cancel the order. I asked for a confirmation email and received no reply. I see that my account was charged $63 for these items which I never received. Yesterday I emailed again to request a refund or delivery and still received no reply even though the email was opened and read (AOL reports on this). I would like the items or a refund.

I'm interested in knowing how AOL does this, how they verify receipt of an email .

I was not charged for what I ordered on 3/18/05. I became suspicious when I had questions and my calls would not be returned. I cancelled my credit card today after confirming the $120 charge was not there. I also turned the company into the local Better Business Bureau in Virginia Beach and the Virginia State Commission of Revenue.
