UMG Buyers Edge Informative - LEGITIMATE PROGRAMS? Really...
ILLINOIS -- I read all these reviews on this site and thought that UMG Buyer's Edge was taking me to the cleaners, like the rest of you. I went to my credit card claiming "fraud". All I got was EGG on my face!
I got a call from a manager at Buyer's Edge with a tape recording of the phone converstation I had, ACCEPTING the program and the charges! I didn't have a leg to stand on. The phone conversation said I could cancel at any time and receive a refund of my current month's fee.
It was also explained to me that I could also enroll over the internet when placing an order for products on the net (Like Trim Life), or when ordering things on the phone through catalogs, newspapers or TV ads. They can produce proof of those authorizations as well.
In the end, I decided to stay with the program, since I'd been paying for it and GUESS WHAT? I actually got use out of it. I got checks back, just for buying gas. I booked a cruise and saved a ton of cash. I got a free cell phone, got VIP cards for SIX FLAGS this coming season.
So, just a note to all of you that steered me in the wrong direction: Pay attention to what you agree to on the internet and on the phone, and don't be so quick to pass judgement on something/someone when the real "bad-guy" is YOU.
