Verizon Complaint - Didn't even go through with the installation
My experience with Verizon customer service exactly echoes everyone else's here. We were set up for installation of Verizon FiOS TV, internet, & phone. I was originally sold the package at a price that I later found out was impossible to deliver. But good news!, says this second rep, he'll drop the phone (which we never wanted anyway) and keep everything else the same for the price I wanted. Wonderful. Called the next day to verify the terms (since I had yet to receive anything in writing, as they had promised). And ... nope, can't do that either, "I'm not sure why they quoted you that price." I'm leaving a lot out -- salespeople that seemed absolutely irritated to be speaking with another human being, countless (and pointless) transfers to any number of Verizon's many, many departments, an incorrectly scheduled installation day that took an afternoon (and a conversation with, sorry to say it, a non-English speaker) to sort out -- but long story short, we are not going through with the installation. Honestly, I've never felt quite so much like a company was ACTIVELY trying to turn me away as a customer. Very weird, but thank goodness we dodged the bullet.
