Summer Living Direct Complaint - Poor Service, Quality-11 months-still no cushions!
INDIANA -- I ordered several cushions, over $2000, on June 16,(told 7-10 days delivery)--wanted them by July 4. Requested 3 times of status. "We'll check". . .Said did not ship partial shipments. Due to lack of response, they promised I would receive partial by the 4th. On the 3rd, recieved a call saying the cushions wouldn't be arriving. 2 weeks later I received partial shipment. Completely wrong-wrong style, no ties to attach to the chair and the cushions were FAR too fat. (Lily Tomlin and the Big Chair!) They did get the color right. Sent back. Received another partial shipment. Sent back.
Asked if they could suggest a cushion thickness as it was ridiculous how these fit. They couldn't suggest a depth, that was my choice. Of course, if you don't assist or suggest, then you're not responsible for anything either. Fed up, I placed a chargeback.
The company said, "well, we're working with her on re-doing them" and the credit card company said OK-work with them. Now, who would want to spend money with this company after all of that? The blame is on the customer.Their return policy should state, we'll send you the wrong cushion style, past the season you need them in, with no ties, a thickness you can't sit on, run you around for a few months and then expect payment. . .oh, and be happy to work with us." It's 9 months later, theres a charge on my credit card and I have no cushions. They say they'll re-do them, I don't have the time to work with people who are unprofessional in their committment to their customer, product or business. Nor do I want cushions from this company. Now I've contacted an attorney. Save your money, you'll get the same thing at Walmart or K-mart.
