INDIANA -- I ordered several cushions, over $2000, on June 16,(told 7-10 days delivery)--wanted them by July 4. Requested 3 times of status. "We'll check". . .Said did not ship partial shipments. Due to lack of response, they promised I would receive partial by the 4th. On the 3rd, recieved a call saying the cushions wouldn't be arriving. 2 weeks later I received partial shipment. Completely wrong-wrong style, no ties to attach to the chair and the cushions were FAR too fat. (Lily Tomlin and the Big Chair!) They did get the color right. Sent back. Received another partial shipment. Sent back.

Asked if they could suggest a cushion thickness as it was ridiculous how these fit. They couldn't suggest a depth, that was my choice. Of course, if you don't assist or suggest, then you're not responsible for anything either. Fed up, I placed a chargeback.

The company said, "well, we're working with her on re-doing them" and the credit card company said OK-work with them. Now, who would want to spend money with this company after all of that? The blame is on the customer.Their return policy should state, we'll send you the wrong cushion style, past the season you need them in, with no ties, a thickness you can't sit on, run you around for a few months and then expect payment. . .oh, and be happy to work with us." It's 9 months later, theres a charge on my credit card and I have no cushions. They say they'll re-do them, I don't have the time to work with people who are unprofessional in their committment to their customer, product or business. Nor do I want cushions from this company. Now I've contacted an attorney. Save your money, you'll get the same thing at Walmart or K-mart.

My advice is to not get too involved in any of the supermarkets. From my ..limited experience (What can you expect of a 16 year old?) you'll find that the less you depend on just ONE market, the happier you'll be.

Anyway, I disagree with your "Go to K-mart or Wal-mart", because the same thing could happen there too. All superstores are just the same except for the name and the people they hire.

I honestly think that this Misty person didn't have her act together. I had a very large custom order (over $2000.00) and they came out so perfect. They expressed their concern that everything is custom and walked me through every step needed.

I did read this complaint before order, but there is something about it that made me think that she was upset with something that she made a mistake with and was taking it out on the company.

Absolutely THE BEST custom cushion company that I have ever delt with. There are others on the internet, but these people know what they are doing.

So I called Summer Living Direct and asked them about this crazy lady's experience.

They were very honest and explained what happened with her and her order. I didn't want to probe too deep, but you can understand my concern.

My advice to you out there is to make sure that you are ready to order. Don't go in there and not know what you are doing. They are very helpful and I was happy to place my order with them.

I agree with Kristy because she didn't seem like she had her act together and was in a huge rush.

The thing that I like about the company is that they make everything for you and the tell you that it will take time to do.

MistyK, when you say that you don't have time to work with people, thats your fault!

Marky, you called Summer Living Direct and they shared customer information with you over 3 years the order?

1. That would be VERY unprofessional of them.

2. I don't believe it!

We have now spent weeks chasing down our order, leaving messages, and not getting anyone to bother to return our calls. BUYER BEWARE! AVOID THIS PLACE!
