State Farm Insurance Complaint - State Farm Denied My Application - Poor Policy
I currently have Met-Life for Auto, Home, and Life Insurance. I am 44 years old and have had ONE speeding ticket in 27 years, no accidents. I have two children that drive. Their driving records are less than stellar (about 3 tickets each). I pay $4500/year to insure our 3 vehicles. I thought I would investigate State Farm to see if I could get a better rate. Not only could I not get a better rate, they denied me COMPLETELY. It was due to the DMV records of my children (understandable) but I asked if I titled their cars to them and had them get their OWN insurance with whomever, how much would MY rate be? I was told I could still not get State Farm and would not be eligible as long as they lived in my home. I am completely floored by this. Not only that, She said if I had an unrelated ROOMMATE with a poor driving record, I would not be eligible for State Farm.
ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME??
Is this new?? Has anyone else encountered anything like this before?
