ComEd (an Exelon Company) Complaint - ComEd Verbally Abuses Clients
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- We have had some problems with ComEd. Mys sister is in grad school and has been paying her electric bill on time. For four months ComEd credited the WRONG ACCOUNT. Every time we call to fix the problem (with proper documentation) we are yelled at and talked down to by the ComEd employees on the phone. Yesterday they turned off her power. When she called this AM to find out when the power would go back on she was yet again screamed at. She was told that it would take 1-3 business days but if she called again they would push it to next week.
She was then lectured by some woman about being responsible and taking better care of herself. When my sister tried to explain about the billing issues the woman cut her off and told her it was all "bulls**t" We asked for her supervisors name and were told that ComEd doesn't have supervisors and that we could only deal with her.
This is why there should be more power companies in Chicago. Not only is it terrible hard to get ahold of a real person at ComEd, but when you do they verbally abuse you. From being screamed for 30 min today by that woman is uncalled for.
We can't be the only people this has happened to.
