Spirit Airlines Complaint - Charged 3 times online, same route/flight/date and still no reservation
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA -- On 10/3/2010, I logged onto http://www.spiritair.com website to make a reservation and purchase a round-trip ticket from Washington National to Bogota Colombia. After providing my biographical and financial information, I kept getting an error message. After several attempts, I decided to give up, especially once I read the disclaimers posted of SPIRITAIR website with troubles related to Apple Safari and Internet Explorer 8 browsers (see disclaimer attachment).
On 10/4/2010, I logged into my bank account to find out that I have had a total of 7 posted transactions (of $365.70 each) from SPIRITAIR. COM. Of the total 7 transactions, 5 were debit transactions and 2 were credits (see attached).
I spent the entire morning calling Spiritair customer service, including speaking with a supervisor named JIM EDWARDS, and after providing my information (names, card used, dates of travel), I was told I am not into the system and my card was never charged, and I did not have a reservation.
My bank, also contacted Spiritair.com using the telephone listed with the transaction, only to be told the same thing - I do not have a reservation and my card was not charged.
Here are the information provided by my bank in relation to the SPIRITAIR. COM transactions posted on my account:
Authorization # dated 10/3/2010 are as follow:

As of today, a total of $1097.10 ( 3 transactions of $365.70 each) was debited from my account.
