Sedo.com Complaint - Sedo.com Bait and Switch

Review by sedodont on 2010-10-08
I entered into a binding agreement to purchase a domain utilizing the services of Sedo.com. This was my first experience with them and I thought the whole process was generally okay. It was easy to make an offer to the seller of the domain and we relatively quickly came to an agreement for me to buy a particular domain. Sedo requested that I make payment and I immediately did that. I then proceeded to wait for them to do something for a couple of days and they moved a DIFFERENT domain than what I bought over to my GoDaddy account which I refused. I then notified them that they had sent the wrong domain and I refused that domain and requested that they send the one I actually purchased. Guess what? Apparently they say the seller notified them that he didn't really own the domain that I had agreed to purchase but was willing to give me the terrible one they tried to push me in the first place for the same price. Folks, that's called a bait and switch!
