Coca Cola Complaint - I find the codes unreadable - Fresca

Fresca - Complaint
Review by nutsy on 2010-10-10
I am a member of mycokerewards.com and I routinely purchase Fresca soft drink. I always purchase it in the 12 pack and yet when I try to register the code it is impossible to read. I have tried every combination that occurs to me and none of them match. Please make the numbers and letters clearer.

Just for the record, I have 3,945 coke reward points. I find cornacopia of bottle caps in the trash bin at my job.

Contact them, and let them know. They will appreciate the feedback. Why have the codes printed, if nobody can read them.

I have an employee who has used those coke reward points forever. He even drops by the local convenience store to pick up the empty cardboard packs the owner now saves for him. I would take him the bottle caps from empty 2 liter Sprite bottles. I could never read the code. Black print on the underside of dark green caps. This has gone on for a number of years so it's not new with the Coke Company.

Pepsi codes are just as annoying. Interestingly, with either brand, the only codes i can consistently read are the ones from the most expensive per unit codes" 20 oz bottles.

I drink allot of Coke products and have yet to register for those coke rewards.

My wife collects these points. She has the same complaint. She will often ask me what I think the letters are. I can't make out half of them.

I told her I think Coke does it on purpose.

What can you actually get with the points? Is it worth doing?
Posted by Sparticus on 2010-10-10:
My wife mostly gets magazine subscriptions. They use to have some neat stuff. Now I think it is mostly fluff or just too many points needed to get anything good which is why my wife gets magazine subscriptions.

I have redeemed the points for dvd player, telescope, Kmart gift card, and blockbuster coupon.

Xmas is coming up and I am racking up points to get gifts for family and friends. This is definitely the way to get gifts without spending any money.

You'll find coke rewards caps everywhere, in the trash, and littered on the streets. Coke rewards=free money.
Posted by MRM on 2010-10-10:
DebtorBasher, I notice that you didnt use the last coke rewards points that I gave you.
Posted by DebtorBasher on 2010-10-10:
When was that?
Posted by DebtorBasher on 2010-10-10:
I need to get back to it...but I don't even remember my sign on....Haven't been on the reward site for some time...and I drink at least one 2 liter coke everyday!

I guess I made a mistake when I threw away all of Mr. Skye's little cardboard code pieces he always left laying around.

He hasn't noticed one bit~and if he does, I will DENY they ever existed!
Posted by MRM on 2010-10-10:
You are throwing away free money! Just for the record, I have 3,945 coke reward points.
Posted by MRM on 2010-10-10:
I have a second account and I have 3,200 points in the second account.
Posted by Skye on 2010-10-10:
Do the 3,945 coke reward points equal dollars?

:)

Posted by DebtorBasher on 2010-10-10:
I didn't think you REALLY got anything from them. Guess I'll have to start up again.

BTW...some of the caps I found hard to read, I held up to a light and was able to read it much better. You can see it alot more with the light shining from the back of the cap.

Mr. Skye when he ACTUALLY entered his points did get some free music and soda.

I don't like all those little card board things all over the place. I like things neat and tidy, unlike Mr. Skye and his snail trial, lol.

Posted by MRM on 2010-10-10:
Skye, you dont get cash back from the points. But it sure does feels like free money when you are getting the rewards such as a gift card, electronics, or other items.
Posted by MRM on 2010-10-10:
DB, yes, I agree that when you shine the light through the cap you'll read it better.
Posted by MRM on 2010-10-10:
Tell Mr Skye to be patient and save more points for a gift card so that he could buy more drinks!
Posted by DebtorBasher on 2010-10-10:
Skye...
It's Pop, NOT Soda...POP...P-O-P...POP!

Gift cards MRM! What have I done? I promise, from now on, I will not throw out the points.

SODA SODA SODA.

You could read the bottle cap codes by putting a flashlight under the cap, if it's a red (Coca-Cola), blue (Fanta, Dasani), or green (Sprite) cap. The black caps (from Coca-Cola Zero, Barq's, Powerade, and Minute Maid) are a bit hard to read, you have to look at the letters closely. The silver caps (from Diet Coke and Fresca) are the easiest to read. The 12-pack codes, if they are printed in a thin dot-matrix font, are hard to read as well; you have to look at them closely. The font used on the 12-pack codes depends on what plant the packaging was printed at. I have seen some 12-pack codes in a clear black font, with others in a harder-to-read light dot-matrix font.
