LA Fitness Complaint - Beware - payments
HAMDEN, CONNECTICUT -- Now I am a nursing student who is trying to shed a few pounds I put on from studying and eating late night!!!! So this gym is very close to my house. I went to sign up for a trainer which costed about $200(8 session) a month plus the monthly and install membership fee. So about 5 months in to the contract I had about 24 sessions built up because I have not been going 2x's a week. So I ask the manager can I freeze my training account until I use up the one I paid for. He told be yes. But he did not tell me that I will be charged a $45 freeze fee. To make matter even worst the trainer I got were inexperience & non attentive (on the phone or talking to other people). So about a month down the road I lost my wallet in NYC. Did you know the called my house & job harassing me about not paying?? I have been paying for 5months without even really using your services & when I do it is bad service. They wanted me to give them another credit card number over the phone (I lost my WHOLE wallet), then I thought to my self if I cannot cancel online or on the phone you're not getting a payment from me either ways. Now, school is over I moved about 60miles away told them I live to far to drive they told me I have to move at lest 100miles away to be a good reason to cancel!!!!!! I sent the paper in to the corporate address to cancel lets see if the will bill me next month!!! Please beware!!! How much I spent there I could have bought my own gym!!!!
