Chartercommunications Complaint - Don't want to work with you

I was behind on my bill and I wanted to set up a payment plan to get it paid off, Charter Communications would only extend it for four days beyond the due date because I live in Michigan and Michigan doesn't have a payment plan. They were not willing to work with me at all to get it paid off so I cancelled my service and my provider now is excellent. DON'T get Charter Communications if you live in Michigan and get behind on a bill because you won't get any help from them. It sure is bad when a person is trying to pay them and they don't want the money.

No offense to the OP. The company simply is not in business to do anything other than make a profit. They care nothing about any personal situation you may be in. It is more profitable for them to allow you to fall behind, cancel or disrupt your service, then have you pay restoral and late fees.

All said, cable TV, internet etc are wants not must haves. I would simply let it go until your situation improves and it becomes affordable again.
