DirecTV Inc Complaint - Customer Rebate warning
DIRECTV will not issue a promised rebate because my service was installed 96 days ago, and although I submitted my rebate request online, I do not have a record of applying within the required 90-day period.
To me, a yearly rebate of $288 is a lot of money. DIRECTV emails me multiple sales and marketing messages, but there is so far no concept of a customer-service electronic reminder that you have only 60 or 30 days to submit your rebate request. So even though I am a new customer, and even though I believed I filed a rebate request, DIRECTV will not provide me with one cent of the $288 credit which I was expecting to accumulate through the year.
Any company that is that inflexible is not interested in building good, strong relationships with customers. I'm not sure such a company exists in this industry, but I'm looking for a media / communications company that really values and works to retain its existing customers. As a result of DIRECTV's rebate policy and strategy, I will not have any loyalty to DIRECTV when my contract expires.
