Cingular Wireless Complaint - refuse to cancell service
I have a situation with Cingular that I would like to share. I cancelled my service and went to Verizon wireless. I had two cell phones with Cingular. I had continuous service with them for 12 years...through good and bad...mostly bad. I called them one day about an issue and the Customer service person basically told me to bad for you. It took me literally seconds to cancel my account with them and go straight to the nearest Verizon store and activate a new service. At that point losing my number did not seem to matter. They continued to bill me for service on both phones. I got a bill from them the following month for service that I cancelled. I called and told them that I cancelled the service I was not going to pay. I never received another bill or heard from them. About 2 years later I received a collection notice for close to $700.00 initiated by Cingular. I have not paid and refuse to pay based on the fact I cancelled and how did they let the bill get that high. I told Cingular that in no way I owe then that money. I got yes you do and too bad for you again. Now I have a blemish on credit report to and can not do anything about it...they are crooks and the service is and has always been bad.
