Ashley Furniture Complaint - The worst furniture
FREMONT, CALIFORNIA -- I am VERY disappointed with my purchase from the Fremont Store, I purchased a living room set, first it was deliverd 2 weeks later than promise It arrived on Friday September 10th, the delivery people were polite and set up our new furniture, then there was a rip in the lining under one of the pieces, and I saw a hole on one of the table legs, all of which was noted on the delivery slip.
The following Tuesday, 9/14, I called the store and was directed to customer service. I got a call back on Wednesday, they ask about the rip and in just the 5 days we had the furniture, the cushions had started to break down! Now I know when you purchase couches, one sits on it for just a few minutes, but I would think many people do the same, the couches and chairs we tested were fine, comfortable and did not show any wear.
After only 3 days the cushions were breaking down, they sink about 3 inches down and it looks as though they are already 10 years old! This is not the only piece that is already showing wear and faulty. The chair 1/2, also is showing wear, not the material but the cushions, the ottoman is also ridicules. When you sit on it, it sounds like cardboard crushing. There is also a very bad smell, smells like chemicals.
I am not happy with this. I called the store and asked what their return policy was, they said I cannot return them. What kind of customer service satisfaction is that!!!! I have no problem paying a restocking fee.
It has now been over a month and still no one has fixed this problem, what kind of customer service do you offer? NONE?
I would NEVER ever buy another piece of furniture no matter what the cost would be and I hope you would not either.
