Sears Complaint - Sears Appliance Services, Customer Service and Warranties
CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA -- October 2009 we purchased a dishwasher with a 5 year warranty from Sears. It worked well until around late early June:some dishes were dirty after going through the wash cycle. Technicians came 4 times to check. Only one Tech made changes, replacing two parts.
Regarding customer service, when we called checking what time the techs would arrive as the "window" of time elapsed, I got hung up on several times; never got called back; and waited until 9pm on one occasion. Another time the technician arrived late, 2 hours after the "window" provided. Regarding the time we waited 'till 9pm, on the following day we we were returning from an errand and the tech was ringing our doorbell! Customer service never got back to us the night before.
We went twice to speak to the department manager. Even after the change of the parts, the dishwasher still doesn't work like it did for the first 8 months. We called the department manager and have never been called back! We emailed and it was returned as invalid.
This is the first time in many years that we have had such a frustrating experience with Sears from which we have purchased several different kinds of appliances. Even though we have the 5-year warranty, it has done us no good! We will never recommend Sears to our family and friends. We will never shop at Sears again for anything!!
