Wal-Mart Complaint - Unacceptable service
I applied for and received a Wal-mart credit card within the last year. Given the financial state of things these days, I thought I would get one just in case. So, I received a nominal credit of $250. I did not use the card for a few months. Then, earlier this month I made one transaction for $102. Then, later this month I attempted another transaction for $58. The card was surprisingly declined. Thru e-mail correspondence with "customer service", I have now been told that due to inactivity on my account, my credit limit was decreased by 1/2 without notification. I had not missed any payments, used the card inappropriately, or overdrawn it in any way. I simply had not used the card for several months since having received it. I commented to "customer Service" that I keep cards like this for circumstances in which I might need them. I don't use them as a regular source of currency. The same goes for any other credit card I might have. Long story short, they apologized and hoped that I would continue to shop at their stores. That's it. Obviously, I let them know it was an unacceptable and inappropriate response, my card was being cancelled and that I would be glad to share my poor service experience with other potential customers. As I now have.
