Frontier Communications Complaint - Not ready for business in the Northwest
REDMOND, WASHINGTON -- Ok, if you live in the Pacific Northwest you most likely know that Frontier recently aquired Verizon. I've had a number of issues with customer support in the past six weeks, but the most recent (and most frustrating) was today when we called for assistance activating the new FiOS static IP address we ordered for a client.
On Friday I attempted to setup the static IP on a SonicWall firewall/router and couldn't get it to route, or even ping the Gateway. When I called, I had technical support tell me that I wouldn't need to switch their router to bridged mode, as it wasn't necessary. I"ve setup FiOS in the past and each time I've done it I've had to use bridged mode on the router.
Today I had one of my field techs go on site to try calling Frontier tech support again. Their tech finally gave up, at which time my guy asked for a supervisor. The supervisor told him he would have to call Actiontec technical support, the Frontier router manufacturer, and then transferred him over there. What a joke. Yes, we'll sell you this service, but please don't ask us to support it?......
I strongly recommend you not purchase Frontier broadband until the company grows up. Good luck. If Frontier would like to convince me otherwise, they can contact me at 425-513-9367 x101
