Party Mart Complaint - Party Mart Do Not Use Them
SAINT-LAURENT, OHIO -- I was looking for a Halloween costume yesterday and came across the website partymart.com. I found a costume I wanted to buy and after reviewing it online to book it I noticed the website stated this costume was a $1.00. I figure that was amazing and they must have a sell on this item so I went to purchase the item online. I went through the entire booking process and at the end the total with shipping came to $12.14 dollars. I received confirmation emails showing the receipt for my purchase and that UPS would be sending it in a week. Now today I get a call from someone at Party Mart who tells me that sorry it was a mistake and that they cannot ship me that product for that price. He said he could look into getting me a discount. I asked him to explain to me why I got a confirmation email and receipt from them. He repeats it's an error and there was nothing he can do. I told him this was false advertising and I should be untitled to what I purchased online last night. The guy Party Mart had nothing else to say expect that he is canceling my order. He didn’t ask me if I wanted to cancel. He told me he was canceling my order.
The guy I was talking to was supposedly is the owner. I have made a complaint to the BBB about Party Mart but after speaking with this guy I doubt I will even get a reply. I can’t believe the “OWNER” of this website would say he is canceling my order because he doesn’t want to honor an error his website offered me. I understand that websites may display incorrect information but this isn’t the consumer’s fault. No one should use this company. I can just imagine what other customers have dealt with using this company after speaking with that Manager. I will tell everyone I know now to use this website.
